Research Interests

Population genetics, conservation genetics, avian disease, and disease ecology.

I am a PhD student in the Integrative Genetics and Genomics Graduate Group. I received a B.S. in Marine Biology from UC Santa Cruz, where I volunteered in the Ari Friedlaender Lab of Biotelemetry, and an M.S. in Integrative Biology from San Francisco State University. In my master's, I studied the effects of blood parasites on avian systems using transcriptomics.  Prior to college, I worked as a wildlife rehabilitation tech at International Bird Rescue.
