Research Interests

Currently my work involves using a parentage panel to identify parents of hatchery and wild-caught Delta Smelt (Hypomesus transpacificus) and Longfin Smelt (Spirinchus thaleichthys) in order to maintain genetic diversity in captive populations. I am also working with Dr. Mac Campbell to investigate the largely undescribed diversity of Newark Valley tui chub (Siphateles newarkensis).
